Whiteside Rd Cemetery

Locals who grew up in Chatt Hills with the countryside as their playground often recall seeing what looked like a cemetery in the backwoods. That was the case when resident Jackie Coker recalled seeing a cemetery on Whiteside Rd south of South Fulton Parkway.
On April 4, 2009, the property owner gave permission for a closer look. Three box tombs were discovered that appeared to have collapsed over time. Judging by the box tombs at other cemeteries which date around 1850, these appear to be somewhat older. On August 1, 2026, this cemetery report was compiled to share what little information is known about the Whiteside Road Cemetery and to encourage others to share what information they may have. |
